ABOUTChelsea.
Origin: Old English Meaning: Port or Landing Place In the second grade, upon first learning this information, I cried. Why didn't my name mean something beautiful, like, well, "beautiful?" It wasn't until recently that I found an appreciation for my name, and everything that it stands for. There is something safe about a landing place, or a port. I believe those around me would say that I am reliable, cautious, a rule follower. I think it also contributes to my teaching persona, making me a safety net for students who need stability and compassion. I love to teach, partially because I love school, and partially because, if you can handle it for 180 days, middle schoolers are pretty fun to be around. I love the summertime, and going to football, basketball and baseball games. I am fiercely a Spartan, and proudly a third generation Spartan teacher. I love to swim, run and do yoga. My favorite thing, however, is spending time with my friends and family. |
